About the label

Night Harbour Records is a studio-led independent label for recorded work that rewards repeated listening. Each project is developed slowly, through many discarded versions, until phrasing, balance, and musical development feel inevitable.


The label values judgement over trend and craft over immediacy. Most material never survives. What is released is what met a strict musical standard.


The aim is simple: to make records that do not date quickly and that reveal more with time.

The Vale Collective

The Vale Collective is a small-group jazz ensemble shaped by tone, time, phrasing and interaction. The recordings favour long-form development, restraint and balance over display, with performance and ensemble behaviour treated as the composition.

Whether vocal or instrumental, the principles remain consistent: clarity of intent, patient structure, and musical decisions that reward close listening.
